Upon implementation in 2019, the Committee conducted a thorough review of significant incidents that occurred within the Davis County Correctional Facility over the past eight-ten years and identified alternative policies and procedures focused on the welfare and protection of all individuals in the Correctional Facility.

The committee develops effective recommendations that reflect the realities of providing medical care to inmates, many of whom are suffering the effects of substance use disorder, the symptoms of which often mask other more serious medical and mental health conditions.
