Utah reiniciará las revisiones de Medicaid

Medicaid de Utah comenzará a revisar todos los casos de Medicaid durante los próximos 12 meses. Desde el 2020, el gobierno federal ha requerido que las agencias estatales de Medicaid continúen cubriendo a todos los miembros inscritos, debido a la emergencia nacional de salud pública (PHE por sus siglas en Ingles) incluso si su elegibilidad cambió. A fines del 2022, el Congreso estableció un cronograma para poner fin a esta elegibilidad continua. Utah to restart Medicaid Reviews

Utah Medicaid will begin reviewing all Medicaid cases over the next 12 months. Since 2020, the federal government has required state Medicaid agencies to continue covering all enrolled members even if their eligibility changed, due to the national public health emergency (PHE). In late 2022, Congress established a schedule for ending this continuous eligibility. This reinstated the review process and means that some members will keep Medicaid coverage, while others’ Medicaid coverage will end. Those losing Medicaid coverage will need to transfer to HealthCare.gov or purchase insurance in the private market.

Get answers and information about Medicare enrollment and benefits. Classes are taught in several locations throughout the county including libraries and senior activity centers. Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Training

Learn how to prevent suicide by using QPR to: Ask Questions to assess the situation; Persuade the person to accept help; and Refer the person to a professional for help to get them through the crisis and treat any underlying mental illness. Like CPR, QPR is a simple process that anyone can be trained to use, to help prevent a suicidal act. Participants learn how to recognize the warning signs for someone who may be at risk for suicide, and then get them to appropriate help.
