Animal Care of Davis County has partnered with DocuPet to provide an enhanced pet licensing experience for residents.

When you register your pet, you'll receive a unique license tag for their collar. With DocuPet, you can choose a standard tag for free or upgrade to a colorful designer tag for an extra fee. Each DocuPet tag, whether standard or designer, serves as your pet’s official Davis County license and includes the free HomeSafe® 24/7 Lost Pet Service to help reunite lost pets quickly.

Dog Licensing

All dogs over the age of four months are required to be licensed in Davis County. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required for each dog being licensed. 

Pricing:

  • 1 year license for sterilized and microchipped dog: $15
  • 3 year license for sterilized and microchipped dog: $40
  • 1 year license for unsterilized and/or unmicrochipped dog: $40
  • Lifetime license* for sterilized and microchipped dog: $25

    * In order to qualify for a lifetime license, the registered owner of the dog must be age 60 or over

Cat Licensing

All cats over the age of four months are required to be licensed in Davis County. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required for each cat being licensed. 

Pricing:

  • 1 year license for sterilized and microchipped cat: $5
  • 3 year license for sterilized and microchipped cat: $10
  • 1 year license for unsterilized and/or unmicrochipped cat: $15
  • Lifetime license* for sterilized and microchipped cat: $10*

    * In order to qualify for a lifetime license, the registered owner of the cat must be age 60 or over

 

Additional Pet Permit

Animal Care of Davis County now allows responsible pet owners who desire an additional pet to apply for a permit to license a fourth pet for their household!
