Appa is looking for a new home! she is 1 year old (march 10th) she's about 60% great pyrenees and 40% anatolian shepherd, but got the pyrenees features. She is such a sweetheart, incredibly loyal and so smart. She loves swimming, fetch, enjoys walks, hikes and long naps on the floor next to her people. She does fantastic walking on a leash. When you bring her food out, she automatically sits down and waits until you give her the okay to eat. She is so intelligent and learns very fast. She is up to date on all of her vaccines including leptospirosis and lyme (great for farm areas, camping & hiking) she is not yet spayed, this breed does better waiting until they are at least 2 years old so that their hips can develop all the way. The reason i need to find her a new home: she has some jealousy/resource guarding towards food with my chihuahua. They do just fine hanging out together, but she would do best living in a home with no small dogs because of this. My chihuahua is 13 and has arthritis, so appa trying to play with her is also concerning to me, as she is much bigger, heavier and more agile & spunky than my very old chihuahua, who just needs to spend the last of her days being relaxed and enjoying some peace. All other dogs she's met are her best friends. Medium to large dogs can keep up with her play and she is very submissive to them as well. ( i do think with my chihuahua, it's mostly due to jealousy as appa bonded with me, but my chihuahua gets more vip like sleeping on my bed etc. ) she loves playing fetch and swimming/playing in the hose and kiddie pool with her dog friends as well as sharing toys. She won't even try to eat out of another dog's bowl while they're eating. She has had no resource guarding issues towards any other dogs, but has not met many other small dogs besides my chihuahua. Though she did fine with the one other small dog who's been here, we also didn't feed them during that time. The perfect home: would either be somebody with a large property and animals to protect, or even better, somebody that either has no dogs that can make her their best friend, or big dogs she can play with. Somebody that often goes out into nature and can take her swimming in lakes and rivers, and hiking, as well as playing fetch and going on walks. She will take her person and be very loyal, protective and also sweet. She has never bit anybody, but has a very scary sounding bark if something is not right. She does great with kids, and is unaffected by her fur and skin being pulled on or grabbed. She loves cuddles, face/belly pets & kisses. She will bark if she gets bored, or sees/hears something she views as a threat, but if she plays and goes on walks she will sleep as soon as she's done. She loves sleeping next to her person while you watch a movie or read a book. Because of her breed she will bark in the evening to warn predators that she is on duty or if she sees/hears something or someone as a threat. However, she sleeps indoors and does not bark at night while inside unless there is somebody in the yard that should not be there (based on experience, she protected us against a thief) if you are interested in meeting her, please reach out. I would like her to meet her next potential person a couple times to form some familiarity before taking her home so she adjusts a little easier ️ i am asking a small rehoming fee, however getting her into the perfect home is my priority. They are the absolute sweetest dogs ever. They are house trained and great with kids. Gryffin is a 1 1/2 year old male and about 90lbs. He will do anything for a treat! bailey is a 5 1/2 year old female, about 80lbs, and is a really great listener! both dogs love each other and are best friends. They both know basic commands - sit, stay, down, shake, etc. Bailey knows place and kennel commands as well. The issue we are having is that they need more than i can give them. When left alone, they will chew things. They love to chew shoes, socks, blankets, toys, etc. I believe that with training and a knowledgeable pet owner, these habits could easily be corrected. My biggest problem is that i am a single mom with 3 kids who works full time and i'm just not able to give them the life they deserve. They have been in their kennels while i am at work and the kids are at school. They just aren't as happy as they could be and i hate seeing them sad. Gryffin is starting to hate his kennel because he is in it too often. I can't leave them in the yard all day either and roaming the house isn't an option as they will chew everything. They both just want to be with their people. They want pets, belly scratches, cuddles, and walks. Bailey loves to play fetch. Gryffin is still learning the concept of playing fetch. They both love to play tug-of-war. They are both lab/retriever mixes and are seriously so full of love. I wouldn't recommend them to a family with small children just because of their size and energy level. They both love my kids and are great with them but they have been known to jump to say hi to people which can hurt a small child. They both love cats but cats don't love them. They tend to chase them and scare the cats. My cats have learned to hide downstairs and stay away from them. Both are chipped, fixed, and up to date on their vaccines. Both have been to basic training but could use some more training to learn the commands better and to learn what is acceptable to chew and what isn't. Unfortunately, i am not in a place that i can dedicate the time or money for that. They come with toys, treats, food, beds, kennels, leashes, etc. I just want them loved and happy. If you can fit these 2 into your life and give them a better life than i can, please message me. Likes to be inside versus outside. Is mostly kennel trained but still has accidents occasionally or if he doesn't get let outside every couple of hours when out of his kennel. But he's a good boy. Nova is sweet, loyal, and very social. She loves to go on walks, spend time training, and is excellet at fetch. Nova is happy to sit in the office with a bone as we work, as well as go on runs with us in the mornings. She loves other dogs. She is patient with our toddler. Because nova is still a puppy, we take care to give her many things to chew on such as toys, kongs and bones so she can stay happy and occupied. We have been very diligent in training her to not bite or jump up on people. She is still learning how to play with our toddler without trying to tug him around by his clothes. She struggles to interact with our cat without chasing him around the house, but as her recall improves so does their relationship. She has never tried to hurt the cat but she is still a labrador, and doesn't know how to be chill when cats are around. Nova is house trained, crate trained, and comes when called with mild distractions. She knows how to sit and stay. Nova has been socialized other dogs, children/toddlers, and the aforementioned cat. Hi! i mu-stache you a question, are you looking for the most amazing dog you’ll ever meet? aside from my dad jokes, that’s pretty much me! i am the perfect size (37lbs) to cuddle right next you on your bed, the couch, the ground, pretty much anywhere, and my mom says i am the best snuggler she has ever met. I have a four-legged foster brother and sister and they both love me and they are the pickiest of dogs. I have three two-legged siblings (ages 8, 11, and 13) and they’re all convinced that they’re my favorite because i love all of them so much and am so gentle with them. i haven’t had any accidents in the house and get super excited when my family cheers me on for going potty outside. After being so well behaved for a couple of days i got invited to sleep in my parents' room and i have been amazing! my family thinks i’d be a great emotional support animal (i’ve snuggled up with my family while they do homework, play games, watch tv, anything). Did i mention, i love to snuggle? my favorite thing ever might be laying right on your lap or by your side. The cutest thing i do is lay on my back and snort like a pig when you rub my chest and belly. i’m a pro at going to soccer practice and letting all the kids and adults come pet me. I’ve had plenty of car rides and have even been to the car wash where i was a super good boy. I’m basically good everywhere. I took my first run today and ignored all the dogs and cats around me (i’ve never been very close to a cat so i’m not sure how i’d react). so, if i sound like the best dog you've ever heard of, come check me out.
