Bio:
Sweet with cats, shy with humans: seeking a quiet sanctuary her personality: she is a unique soul who gets along perfectly fine with my other two cats. She enjoys feline company and has no issues socializing with her own kind. However, her relationship with humans is a different story—she is extremely "people-shy" and hypersensitive to human activity. Her progress & challenges: for over a year, i have given her all the time and space possible. She has made progress: when the house is completely still or when it's just me, she will occasionally come out. But my current living environment isn't just me; as soon as she hears another person's voice or footsteps, she immediately retreats. When she feels unsafe, she is so overwhelmed by anxiety that she will refuse to eat, drink, or play just to remain hidden. Why she needs a new home: it’s clear now that she doesn't need "more time," she needs a "quieter space. " my busy household is simply too overwhelming for her nervous system. She deserves a home where she doesn't have to live in a state of constant "fight or flight. " the ideal match: • quiet, low-traffic home: a single person or a very quiet couple would be ideal. • has other friendly cats: since she enjoys the company of other cats, having a confident, calm feline sibling might actually help her feel more secure. • minimal human noise: a home without children or frequent guests where the environment is predictable. The "sweet reward" of her trust: while she is currently a "shadow cat" due to environmental stress, once she truly feels safe and comfortable with you, a wonderful transformation happens. She will actively come to find you and seek affection. She especially loves "butt scritches" (back-end pets) and will show her gentle soul through these quiet, intimate moments. She may never be a typical lap cat, but her way of asking for pets is her special way of saying "i trust you. " why i am rehoming her: letting her go is the hardest thing i’ve ever done, but i’m doing it to give her the peaceful life she simply cannot have in my current, busy home. She deserves to eat, play, and seek those beloved "butt scritches" without a constant cloud of fear hanging over her. If interested please contact lin at 385-306-0916.
