The Food $ense website has information on meal planning, cooking, and nutrition. Food $ense (SNAP-Ed) also provides nutrition education to SNAP recipients and food stamp eligibles. Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) offers a variety of classes to expand participants’ knowledge of nutrition, budgeting, cooking, food safety, and physical activity. These hands-on classes are taught by Nutrition Education Assistants (NEAs), who are trained through the National Nutrition Paraprofessional Certification Program, created by Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) of Utah.
EFNEP is designed to assist limited-resource audiences in acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behavior necessary for nutritionally sound diets, and to contribute to their personal development and the improvement of the total family diet and nutritional well-being. Have you always wanted to learn more about gardening? Do you want to help the community with your gardening knowledge? Now is your chance! Master Gardeners attend 40 hours of class lecture and give back to the community by providing at least 40 hours of community service.
