The Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) Program helps older people remain independent in their homes by providing one or more nutritious meals per day to eligible individuals unable to manage their own meal preparation. Special diets for health reasons, prescribed by a physician, can also be provided. Meals are delivered up to 5 days a week.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care are provided to qualifying women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC.

The Food $ense website has information on meal planning, cooking, and nutrition.  Food $ense (SNAP-Ed) also provides nutrition education to SNAP recipients and food stamp eligibles. Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) offers a variety of classes to expand participants’ knowledge of nutrition, budgeting, cooking, food safety, and physical activity. These hands-on classes are taught by Nutrition Education Assistants (NEAs), who are trained through the National Nutrition Paraprofessional Certification Program, created by Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) of Utah.

EFNEP is designed to assist limited-resource audiences in acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behavior necessary for nutritionally sound diets, and to contribute to their personal development and the improvement of the total family diet and nutritional well-being.
